We both are wedding photographers & filmmakers, a married team (for lifeeee), and deeply caring humans.

A SUMMER CAMP

I've had a camera in my hand since the age of 8 and haven't had a question in my mind of what I was meant to do since. I used to make fun videos with my friends growing up + once I graduated high school I knew what I was called to do hadn't changed. After jumping around to temporary media + non-media related jobs, working on the media team at a summer camp, second shooting weddings for five years, I didn't know what was next for me. I was working a job that drained my creativity, and I felt called to take the risk of leaving my 9-5 during 2020 to pursue my passion: stories. I've always been drawn to the career of directing and making a story come to life. Sailboat gives me an opportunity to do that! I've been able to be a Production Assistant on a Discovery+ documentary since taking the leap of faith, and we've also been able to meet some really awesome people through Sailboat we now call friends.

BEYOND THE TWO OF US, WE HAVE "THREE" FURBABIES, TWO OF WHICH are THE NEIGHBOR'S CATS, HAHA! since moving into our home in Feburary of 2022, two of our neighbor's cats, named Jo + Ezra, basically became ours too!

FAST FORWARD TO THIS EASTER OF 2023, ON OUR WAY HOME FROM FAMILY, WE GOT A TEXT FROM OUR NEIGHBOR THAT A STRAY HAS BEEN HANGING AROUND AT THEIR PLACE AND NEEDED A GOOD HOME. THAT'S WHEN WE ADDED OUR SWEET HAZEL MAY INTO OUR LITTLE FAMILY!

OUR WEDDING

During that season we could not understand why we endured what we did. however, now that we have Sailboat Media, our trials have launched us into creating a business to help brides and grooms like you! Having a harder engagement on our end has now equipped to love others in a way where you don't have to go through the same things we did.

Izzy had never dreamed of a wedding day, and honestly would have been okay with eloping. Kyle had always had a soft spot for wanting a wedding day. so after we got engaged not only did we have no idea what we were doing, but we were not prepared with all the came with engagement.

Our engagement season was full of highs + lows. opinions, decision fatigue, finances, and the list goes on! All we wanted to do was get married, so we focused as much as we could on investing into preparing for our marriage. We then got married on may 23rd, 2021 at the summer camp we met at!
